Hi friends and everyone interested in the work of Interchange Colombia!
My name is Thurid and I will be joining the Interchange team as an Intern for the next couple of months.
As this is my first blog entry, let me quickly introduce myself to you:
For nearly 2 years, I lived in Nicaragua and worked as a Project Coordinator in a local NGO, put a constructional project in a rural community into practice (building a municipal center including preschool and library) and initiated reading circles for kids and youth.
Once I got back, I worked in an international NGO and Foundation in Hamburg, Germany. As pure office work for me is nothing to stick with for a long-term-period, I decided to look for a new challenge and directly work in sustainable projects again - in Colombia!
So now, I am really looking forward to getting to know the community members, ongoing projects and the intercultural exchange processes of Interchange Colombia.I am keen to participate in future mutual learning processes, implement new ideasand to finally take action again!!
